Cape Coast

Hello listeners!

As promised a few posts back, here are a bunch of pictures from Cape Coast. A middle sized (80000 people) town, capital of the Central Region, about 200 kme west of Accra - although by tro it might seem a little more

Fanti streetlife in Cape Coast :

Pineapples for sale

Views on the castle bay
The cape coast castle, world heritage
it's ever-alert artillery

and it's dreadful fleet.

Fishermen on a break
Pretty sights at sunset
The light-house, house of the keepers and not open to for tours unless you leave a small (totally worth) dash to the son of the keeper who will be more then happy to show you around.
Just make sure you whatch your steps on the main metal staircase because it's so rusted that it will collapse any day.
Interestingly the son of the keeper, a schoolboy, hides his books inside the cannons... maybe not a big fun of education
